First -- get your doctors okay before you start moving and losing! Make sure and tell your doctor that you plan to lose at least ten pounds by incorporating thirty minutes to an hour of physical activity along with a healthy eating plan.
Grab your calendar! Mark on it the day you plan to start losing -- is it today? Tomorrow? Next Monday? Circle, star, and underline the date!! From that point give yourself at least a month to two months to have lost your desired ten pounds.
Use your calendar as a guide. Write on it each day what you're going to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Also block off at least thirsty minutes to an hour for physical activity of some kind. Lastly, use your calendar to help you keep track of how much water you're drinking in a given day -- aim for at least a gallon a day.
Do some research! Check out your pantry and refrigerator and see what's healthy and what might be a diet train wreck! Try to eliminate foods that have a high calorie or fat content. Also try to avoid foods that are not natural. For example -- opt for the apple over the double stuffed cookies.
Consider eating more lean proteins such as fish and lean chicken as opposed to more fatty meats. Try to incorporate more fresh fruit and vegetables in your diet.
Watch what you drink! Don't pack on empty calories with soda' s and fruit juices. Try drinking water when you might normally drink a soda.
Work it off! Literally -- go for a walk, jog, or bike ride. Consider joining the local gym. You will lose weight faster when incorporating physical activity rather than by just diet alone. Aim for at least thirty minutes to an hour a day.
That's it! Remember that there is not magic pill for rapid weight loss. The best thing to do is maintain a healthy diet with plenty of physical activity!
